Man. It's so hard to find buttermilk here in Jakarta. I'm saying that with regret because there are a lot of great recipes out there that required buttermilk and i just had to skip them because I had no idea where to get one.
But then i found this :
Thank you so much Kay from Kayotic Kitchen! She stated in her blog how to make buttermilk. Geez, I never knew that we could make buttermilk. Kay also blogs about how to make your own butter! Butter!! I am amazed.
I do think her blogs are one of those great blog out there that are worth to see. She mostly cook than baked, but her recipes are easy, yummy and not to mention she is also an amazing food photographer! :)

Lemony Lemony Sunday
Gue memutuskan untuk menghias hari minggu kemarin dengan lemon! :) meet my lemony lemony cupcakes

lemon cupcakes topped with honey lemon frosting. yummy! everything is lemony-great.
it's also great with afternoon tea. gue minum ice jasmine tea dengan ini. my own lil afternoon tea.
this is the recipe. enjoy!
lemon cupcake
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
3 tablespoons of finely grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla Crystal
1 cup sour cream
* Preheat oven to 160 degree centigrade. Line muffin tins with paper liners. whisk together flour,baking powder, and salt
* with an electronic mixer on medium-high speed, cream butter until pale and fluffy then add sugar, beating till incorporated. add eggs, one at a time. beat in zest and vanilla crystal.with low speed, add flour mixture, alternating with sour cream and lemon juice.
*bake for 20-25 minutes
make about 30 cupcakes
honey lemon frosting
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
200 gr cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of finely grated lemon zest
honey ( to drizzle)
with electronic mixer on medium speed, beat butter and cream cheese till smooth. add honey, lemon zest and lemon juice.
